Coppa Del Mundo

I was born in a World Cup year, the day before the start of the 1978 Word Cup in Argentina to be exact, so every 4 years I get the double whammy of my birthday quickly followed by the start of the World Cup. Actually, last time around it started on my birthday, but I digress… This years World Cup is just around the corner, and, as usual, I’m pretty psyched about it.

Quantum Leap’d

Ever had a moment when you wake up and you dont know where you are?

This happens a lot to me recently as I invariably doze off on the train home between Lindbergh and Sandy Springs, but today I woke up and I didn’t know when I was… Seriously, I now know how Sam Beckett feels…

Bad to Worse

I almost feel like I’m a jinx for the Braves now, cause that’s 3 out of 4 games I’ve went to that they have lost, and the last two have been absolute maulings. Seriously, a combined score of 20 - 6 against the Braves, that’s some bad karma, I’m sure some people have had a lifetime ban for less.

The Rising Cost of Video Games

Why there are no indie video games and why that’s bad for gamers. Did you know the average PS2 game costs $8M to make? I didn’t, and that will rise to around $15M to $20M once the PS3 comes around. Add in another $10M or so for marketing, crazy numbers.

The Da Vinci Code

So yeah, The Da Vinci Code, we actually saw this on Tuesday night, it’s only now I could bring myself to write about it after letting it marinate in my mind for 3 days… Take from that what you will.

Trials and Errors

Now, I consider myself to be a pretty tech savvy person… I’ve learned everything I need to know about computers and all that shit by myself, usually through trial and error, be it designing a web page or building a computer and most things in between. But today I questioned my sanity, all thanks to Windows XP Media Center.

Employed

So yeah, after nearly 12 whole months of unemployment, I’ve finally managed to bag me one of them dang jobs things people go on about so much, so as of Wednesday I’ll be working for a little design and marketing studio close to Midtown Atlanta. I know 12 months sounds bad, but really, it’s only been a little over 2 since I could actually work legally, just for a little perspective. I guess it also acts as a big “neeeneeer” to those who thought this day would never come (me being one of them).

Because TiVo Wasn’t Enough

Yes, you read that right… TiVo isn’t enough for me anymore… So I’ve turned our desktop into a home media center (centre?). Well, thats not strictly true, I jammed a TV Tuner card into it and made it a secondary DVR, but it’s the thought that counts.

Snoop Dogg Banned From UK

Snoop Dogg has been banned from entering the United Kingdom ever again following his arrest for affray and violent disorder at London’s Heathrow Airport last month. You could say he got Heathr0wned! But seriously, a lifetime ban is harsh!
