After much speculation, Flickr announced yesterday that they are now dealing with video content. Now while this could be one of those very bad ideas, and many people on Flickr are screaming YouTube! Two students in Waycross, Georgia have been arrested in connection with a plot to attack their teacher. I should mention these students are in the THIRD GRADE. As many as nine students apparently planned to knock the teacher unconscious with a glass paperweight, bind her with handcuffs and duct tape and then stab her with a broken steak knife. The scheme involved a division of roles, one child’s job was to cover windows so no one could see outside, and another was supposed to clean up after the attack.
The Royal Mint is coming out with a very cool set of new coins. The Shield of the Royal Arms has been given a contemporary treatment and its whole has been cleverly split among all six denominations from the 1p to the 50p, with the £1 coin displaying the heraldic element in its entirety. This is the first time that a single design has been used across a range of United Kingdom coins.
