About
Gregor Smith is a make believe designer of web based media (though he calls himself a Multimedia Designer), who was born some 30 years ago in a harsh and desolate land called Scotland. There he stumbled through most, if not all, his life struggling to make ends meet and find a career that suited him… He failed miserably, but he had fun along the way.
He is currently on the run from a crime he didn’t commit, and can be found out in the backwoods of North Cackalack holding up a sign that reads “Will Code For Food”. He can’t remember the last time he ate properly. He currently lives on the shores (kinda sorta) of Lake Norman, outside of Charlotte with his wife Robyn and their two crazy cats (Felix and Sally). They used to have a third cat (Charlotte) but she was a terror, so they sent her off to a farm upstate.
He also thinks of himself as a writer, and even started to write a novel called “By The Grace Of God” that depicted human life leading up to the Apocalypse. But it was shit, so he quit, and it got lost in a hard drive failure, no big loss.
He’s an unbelieving Gemini who actually enjoyed The Phantom Menace strictly as a starting point for the whole Star Wars saga.
He likes to refer to himself in the third person, apparently.
He also has a portfolio site that showcases some of the stuff he thinks he’s done.
If you want to reach him, you can do so via e-mail or instant messenger.

Scam City History
Scam City, or to give it it's full title "The Genetically Modified Scam City", has been my personal website since late August 1999. Originally it was meant to be a dumping ground for picture of sixdegrees meeting I'd attended, it wasn't until October 2000 that it became a blog of sorts.
I didn't use any fancy-schmancy weblog content management systems to run it, every page was hand coded so updates were few and far between. It stayed that way, save for a brief flirtation with Blogger in 2002, up until August 2003 when I scrapped everything and moved to b2.
That was a good blog system at the time, but development had ground to a halt (not that it bothered me in the slightest) and I stuck with b2 until late June 2004, when I upgraded to WordPress...
And here I am...
For those interested in a slice of history you can still access version 4.2 and version 5.1, though most of the content is the same, just a different look. If you want to see version 6.0, check out the old moblog, there is also version 7.0, version 8.0 and the most recent version 9.0 in all it's glory...
The current incarnation is version 10, it uses the DePo Clean Theme by Derek Powazek... It's valid XHTML 1.0 Transitional (mostly), it's hosted by the fine, fine folks at Dreamhost and I think it looks spiffy... No really, I do!
